Melissa Garcia is a Partner and Artist Manager at Collective Entertainment, a 100% women-run  talent management firm she co-founded in 2018. As a manager and consultant, she develops long-term careers and architects strategic initiatives that leverage her clients’ brands to grow audiences, increase revenue, and build sustainable success.

With over 15 years of experience, Melissa has worked across the music, sports, and experiential industries as a project manager, day-to-day manager, tour manager, and marketing strategist. From 2020–2022, Melissa served as Chief Marketing Officer of nonprofit organization Project I Voted, where she helped mobilize more than 400 artists and 200 volunteers to produce the largest digital concert event in history in support of voter turnout called #iVoted Festival. This work helped drive measurable civic impact, increase voter turnout by 7% during the 2020 national election cycle and was featured in various publications including Billboard, Variety, Pitchfork, Alternative Press, The FADER, FLOOD Magazine, Uproxx, Relix, Business Wire, Hypebot, Live for Live Music, Celebrity Access, and more.

In 2024-2025, she returned as Project Manager to oversee national voting initiatives in partnership with spatial marketing platform DropsAR, enabling artists to create exclusive geofenced fan experiences to increase civic engagement. Participating artists and comedians included Taylor Tomlinson, UPSAHL, The Black Angels, Big Freedia, Carl Craig, Living Colour, Charlie Berens, and Urge Overkill.

Melissa is deeply committed to giving back to the music community and investing in the next generation of artists and industry professionals. She actively volunteers her time as a mentor for programs including Symphonic Distribution’s Women Empowered initiative, Keychange, the Well Dunn Foundation, and Women in Music, offering career guidance, strategic insight, and practical tools to emerging artists and professionals. As a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences such as SXSW, Folk Alliance International, Future Music Forum, and New York Music Month, she prioritizes education and transparency. Whether mentoring one-on-one or speaking on global stages, Melissa is passionate about equipping artists and young professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and resources they need to navigate the music industry with clarity and integrity.

Melissa is also a licensed skydiving coach and a certified yoga instructor. She holds a Yoga Anatomy Certification through Yoga Medicine in partnership with Yoga International and launched the Yoga on the Move podcast in 2023, offering guided meditations, philosophy, movement practices, and expert interviews designed to help listeners find stillness in a world of movement.

Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Music Business from NYU and a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certificate from the Project Management Institute. She’s also a proud member of the Recording Academy
